So before we get into it, please excuse the video quality.

After my camera shut down, I recorded videos on my phone, actually through the video part of instagram, so needless to say it ain't the best.
And then my phone decided to shut down while we were in Bangkok, so here we are.

Spending time in Bangkok was less overwhelming than I expected, due to the huge decrease in tourists, and so I enjoyed my time there quite a bit.
We did a lot of walking, and visited many beautiful temples and the Grand Palace, all of which blew me away by how intricately detailed they were. I still can't even fathom how much time and effort even small parts of the buildings must have taken. Some great things to experience, for sure.

And I've actually greatly appreciated having no phone for a while.
That little break was what I needed- time to recognise just how reliant I am on this small object, so much so that, at the beginning I was agitated about not having it, and felt I was missing out on capturing the moment. But what a better was to capture a moment than to fully experience it right then and there.
You can always find ways to go about things without a phone, even if they are not as convenient.
I challenge you to try it out, even for a day. I guarantee your head will feel a little lighter.
