In response to a subscriber comment this week we go back to the roots of the Spirit Box podcast for some good ol' Jinn Lore and list the 13 most common types of Jinn. I've pulled this together from a number of online sources so if you know of any I missed that would be make interesting reading by all means let me know in the comments below.

All the images bar one or two are from the Kitab al-Bulhan, or Book of Wonders, or Book of Surprises, is a mainly 14th century Arabic manuscript compiled – and possibly illustrated – by Abd al-Hasan Al-Isfahani and an 13th Indian copy of ʿAjā'ib al-makhlūqāt wa gharā'ib al-mawjūdāt orThe Wonders of Creation is a book in Arabic and an important work of cosmography by Zakariya al-Qazwini, who was born in Qazwin in the year 600 AH/1203 AD.

The illustrations are quite wonderful and really give insight to how themes of the Jinn and supernatural unbridled the artists imagination.
