Adrienne Clarkson tells the story of four children with leukemia and their struggles to survive. They include Michael Cluff, 13; Karen Clark, 9; Tony Coutinho, 16; and Theresa Pickett, 9. Filmed at the War Memorial Children's Hospital in London, Ont., Fighting Back focuses on the bond of mutual support formed among the children, their parents and the staff. This documentary earned producer John Kastner one of the four Emmy Awards he received during his career.
