The Game Awards show was last night, and while there were great game announcements in every genre I figured I would make a video going over what I think are the best upcoming RPGs that were showcased and recapping a few highlights. Some of these games were announced previously but received their first major announcement at the show. Of course this video doesn’t include Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as we all know of it’s release already (it even won the Most Anticipated Game award). This show saw trailers for ARPGs, SRPGs, and JRPGs so there was no shortage for us role-playing game fans.

If you just want a quick recap of the games I mention, we saw a shadow drop of DLC for God of War Ragnarok called Valhalla and Final Fantasy 16 called Echoes of the Fallen. Baldur's Gate 3 won Game of the Year and was released on Xbox, and the trailers we saw were for Marvel’s Blade (Bethesda Softworks), Visions of Mana (Square Enix), Exodus (BioWare), Rise of the Ronin (Team Ninja/Sony), Stormgate, Metaphor: ReFantazio (Atlas/Sega, makers of Persona), Monster Hunter Wilds (Capcom), and Drago Ball Sparking Zero (non-RPG but worth talking about).
