The old state route 75 tunnel at Ironton Ohio, constructed in 1859 during the days of horse and buggies, buried more than 50 years ago during new highway construction and re-opened in the spring of 1989.
I was here and video taped the first day of re-opening.
Very narrow two-lane passage, i can't imagine passing another car in there much less a large truck, when i was a kid my dad would always sound the car horn while passing through here on our way to Oak Hill during the late 1950's.
