I did a quick test of the travel on the PM-940 X axes. It was just over 31" which is quite nice. If I flip the ball nut it will make it a bit easier to install because you could add the screw after the table is on.
The ball nut flange is the bottom out point. If I trimmed it, it would bottom out on the stepper motor mount on one side and the ball nut on the support side. I don't like that better because you could break the motor mount off.
