Hey fellow squatchologists! Welcome back. I bought something for our channel and it's... yellow.

Before we get started, do you mind if I take these off?

Wow, there’s a lot more of you than I remember.

Hey, what’s up Ted and Bill. Jerry and Tom.

You may notice that I'm actually, well obviously, talking you... in front of the camera. And that’s because my content has been a little slow rolling out lately.

Normally, in my old format, it takes about 80 hours between filming and editing to get one video out to you. Plus I have such a backlog of footage, I’ll never get to it unless I change things up a bit.

So do me a favor, at the end – now wait until the end – head on down the comments and leave a little feedback of what you think of this format.

Also, please be patient with all the jump, jump, jump, jump cuts - those will go away with time. Afterall, the only way to get good at something is to keep on doing it.

So behind me is a 2022 Covered Wagon 6x10 cargo trailer. And, well, it’s yellow. This will be a new series with in our DIBS series. Wait, a serious in a series? Can we do that? So make sure you hit that subscribe button, ring that bell, because you’re not going to want to miss this transformation.

Now, there are a few reasons I bought this.

One, I have wanted to buy a cargo trailer for over 15 years and, well, now seemed like a great time.

Two, I haul stuff. Strangely, it seems I always have a need to move something from here to there, and I'd appreciate having a secure and weather-tight box to transport items.

Three, I help family and friends with projects and I need a better way to transfer tools and supplies. I also plan on using this for similar volunteer work.

And four - this is where it gets interesting - this will be our new adventure trailer.

When we only have a day to go out and appreciate nature, and thus making it impractical to take our RV, this will have everything we need to enjoy our time out. We'll just hitch up and go!

Let's go over some of the main features.
First, you may have noticed that it a little short in comparison to our other trailers. And this is fully intentional. We wanted something that is very easy to maneuver in tight spaces and can fit into small parking lots or pull-offs.

This is a v-nose model - again a feature I required for a couple different reasons. Having that couple feet of extra room allows us to build out the interior better, of which we'll come back to in a moment. Secondly, this also helps with the arrow dynamics science stuff. The better the mileage, the better, in this economy.

We have a proven industries coupler lock installed. We've had great luck with this on our RV and this is a really well-built. This lock also allows us to secure the chains.

This comes with a typical four pole wiring harness. However, this will be ripped out and replaced with a 7 pole harness. Yes, that's right - we're going to need dedicated power back here and that's one video you're not going to want to miss.

Coming around the side, we can see the weights. This trailer has a 2990 lb GVWR, not the 3,500 as was originally advertised. But, that's ok - this still leaves plenty of room to work with.

Heading around to the back, you'll notice this has a loading ramp. This is another feature I wanted because, well, I want to load things that have wheels.

The tires on this unit are C-rated 205/75-15s. This... is not enough for my peace of mind. I'm planning to move to a bigger 235/75-15 e-rated tire which, according to what I see here, has plenty of clearance.

Additionally, I'll be installing a pair of internal TPMS sensors. If you haven't seen my video of these installed on my RV, click the link above to watch that. I should be able to use the same in-cab TPMS monitor.

This is our single axel tire chalk I bought off Amazon the other day. I'm loving it so far and an added bonus - if you tighten this down with a wench, it takes a bit more effort for it or the trailer to mysteriously wander off by someone or something else.

The skin is an upgraded 30 gauge which still, in my opinion, is a bit light. But my options in this area, with this color and configuration, was a bit limited. I think this will work for now.
