The city of Fort Lauderdale just sent out an official Tweet announcing the completion of the Tarpon River restoration project and they are so proud of themselves that they will be holding a ceremony to congratulate themselves. Sadly restoration efforts will be for nothing as long as there are frequent ongoing sewage pipe breaks and drainage overflow. The Tarpon River has not been restored to pre disaster level. The city caused this when they pumped millions of gallons of raw sewage into the Tarpon River. They cannot solve this with congratulatory ceremonies.
Fort Lauderdale Sewer Break - Rio Vista Cordova neighborhood
Description
Fort Lauderdale Sewer Break - Rio Vista Cordova neighborhood. This is the third or fourth time the sewer line has broken on this block. It’s obvious that simply repairing the breaks is not satisfactory. The politicians and elected and appointed officials are kicking the can down the road. There is no easy solution to the problem.
Help Support This Channel so we can continue to cover these disasters as the local media is no longer covering the sewage breaks.
