A Formula 1/10th car programmed by a partner and myself for our Programming with ROS class in pursuit of our Masters. The car is a Latrax Slash capable of going 35mph modified with a LIDAR and Raspberry Pi computer. The computer runs Linex. It is running ROS modules with python based scripts that takes a map and waypoints we provide and the LIDAR data, figures its most likely position, calculates the distance and direction of the next waypoint from its current location, outputs a steering command and throttle command.
