Documentary about Luchino Visconti’s "Ossessione", a 1943 Italian film based on the 1934 novel The Postman Always Rings Twice by James M. Cain. Starring Clara Calamai, Massimo Girotti. It is considered to be the first Italian neorealist film.
The documentary features interviews with filmaker Marco Tullio Giordana (who takes us for a walk on the filming locations), journalist Pietro Ingrao, actors Massimo Girotti, María Denis and Vittorio Duse, Aldo Tonti (cinematographer for the film) and Maria De Matteis (costume designer for the film). Towards the middle of the documentary there is also a "cameo" by Roberto Benigni.
