Our Russian journey is over for now. We have truly met some amazingly friendly and heartwarming people along the way! Thank you!

For us it’s never been enough to just read about places, we want to see it for ourselves.

This is the longest tour we’ve ever done at this point, a total of 16 days none stop, where 5 days (116 hours) were spent on trains. It has been incredibly draining. Ahead of the tour, we also applied for funding from 4 different sources, all of them declined, which has been rather tough on our finances to say the least. However, the warmth of the people we’ve met, the great food, accommodation, combined with the response we’ve received on the concerts took us completely by surprise. It’s been an overwhelming journey and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. What we’ve learned, regardless of political issues, is that people are people everywhere. There’s a mutual understanding, that at the end of the day, we all work hard for the same things, for a better life, a healthier world, a better system that includes everyone, and we believe in the younger generation of Russia. Where there is a will, there is a way.

We truly cherish these long journeys into unknown territory. For us, touring abroad is an opportunity to learn and grow in ways otherwise not possible in our tiny coastal nation. Bringing the best bits of wisdom from every person we’ve met along the road.

When that is said, it’s also incredibly nice to come back to Norway, to our own beds.
