Check out this time-lapse video of the 81.9-ton Radar Tower that was recently lifted and brought to the flight deck of the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Shipbuilders worked through the night to weld and successfully attach/join the 55-foot tall structure, which sits just behind the Island of the aircraft carrier, which is currently undergoing its refueling and complex overhaul at Newport News Shipbuilding.
