Good evening everyone & welcome to: "10-26-02 - A Communion Of Music & Song".

This evening we plan to present to you, an intimate & low-key collection of interpretive humble lyrics & musical artistry, that you might be enriched by a different kind of ingenuity, offered with a very uncommon style of grace.

The music & performances you'll be participating with tonight, has been in the planning stages for many months; almost a whole year. It's main purpose is to honour you, our guests; thanking you for gracing us, by accepting our invitation.

It's been said that music, art, poetry & many other creative expressions are subjective; we all have our own tastes, preferences & perceptions.

But when a lyric of a song or a note on the page, has the ability to look right through you and touch your life with a sense of compassion or even urgency; that lyric & that song, most likely has had the same effect on many others.

It's quite possible, that the spirit of meaning and the spirit of understanding has come to commune within the hearts & minds of countless before us and many more to come.

And that's the focus & plan of our producer, Anthony Ochoa, to gather a grouping of artists together in one setting, to interpret those intimate thoughts, we've come to know as humble lyric & musical artistry.

Tonight, there will be a total of 15 songs, from 4 different musical vignettes, each with their own personal version of life, blessing & grace.

It's a culmination of musical expression, that we have chosen to call:

"10-26-02 - A Communion Of Music & Song".

EILEEN SUNNY OCHOA

Eileen Sunny Ochoa's "soft & uncommon" vocal range & style, has the textures of the late, great Karen Carpenter...that goes synonymous with the innocent & unassuming style of "blended voices", that blanketed the airwaves of our early 70's AM radios!

Spending her time in school chorale & glee clubs, Eileen Sunny's talent has not so much "changed-with-the-times" but "holds-still-to-a-time", when female singers were what pop-music lovers really wanted to hear and what record companies, so graciously wanted to gave us.

Augmented with confirming rhythm guitar chords from John Jones & the stellar nylon-string, classical Spanish acoustic guitar work from Mike Stephens, rounds up a small, but yet comforting union of artists, that "Breathes" new life into simple compositions and make them an advocate of what our hearts, are really struggling to say.
