Report from Castel Volturno, the stronghold of the Nigerian mafia in Italy. Traffic of all kinds, the former seaside town has become hell on earth.

Decades ago, Castel Volturno was a small seaside resort popular with the Italian bourgeoisie north of Naples. Today is hell on earth. The city has become the stronghold of the Nigerian mafia in Italy.
Abandoned by the State, Castel Volturno concentrates all the evils that allowed the populist government of Matteo Salvini and Luigi Di Maio to come to power. Here, the law of silence reigns, but a former Nigerian street girl decided at the risk of her life to break this omerta by testifying before the police.
Our two journalists, Victor Castanet and Yaël Goujon, spent a month in Castel Volturno to follow his fight and understand the reasons for this chaos.
