I visit DK Engineering to check out a car that has intrigued me for a long time, the Bentley Continental R - Project 116. A special commission by Italian Carlo Talamo which cost 1 billion Lira back in 1997... that's the equivalent of £500,000 in today's money.

Carlo was Italy's premier Harley Davidson and Rolls Royce distributor and after some success, he decided he wanted to pay homage to one of his favourite cars of all time, the Bentley Blower, by creating a modern day version of the iconic 20s/30s race car.

The Continental 'Lightweight' R was custom built by Bentley and saw power increases courtesy of engine work by Cosworth and overall weight reduced by 200kg. The results were something outstanding.
