For this project, I built a bionic arm completely from scratch out of inexpensive and recyclable materials. Every part of the arm is handmade from materials such as ice lolly sticks, cardboard, craft foam, a water bottle, fishing line and more.

As this was my first time delving into electronics and coding them to function, I had to self-learn several skills such as building electronic circuits using an Arduino board, programming them using the Arduino programming language and building moving parts that interacted with the electronic components.

The project has seen through the creation of three distinct bionic arms with each improving upon the flaws of its predecessor.

Currently, the most recent version (below) is controlled by a transmitter glove. Whenever the wearer of the glove moves their fingers, the bionic arm will mimic their movements.
