Each song from New Day is accompanied by a video filmed on location in and around NYC, painting an audio/visual history of the band and taking you on a tour of meaningful places that have gotten us each to where we are today. We're so excited to share this new music video for My No. 1, filmed at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, NY! Earlier this year, we released a live in-studio performance of this song, and we decided to make an album version as well. This one was a lot of fun to produce - I (Daro) played around with layering woodwinds to create synthy textures and chopped up Ben's drumming to grab loops and fills, giving the song a more electro vibe. Still, it's all acoustic instruments, including some drums recorded in the hallway outside of the studio (more on that later), and a whole bunch of clarinets and flutes!
