Well Untamed Gang, based off of your votes the other day... this 2022 Lexus GX 460 was the option you were least excited to see, haha. Sorry. BUT! Like me, I hope you can appreciate the exceptional build quality of this remarkable Lexus. It has everything us Toyota guys and gals love... Reliability, Japanese build quality, rugged body-on-frame design, outstanding comfort and top-notch refinement. Oh, and terrible gas mileage, cause we're about that life.

I'll be providing more video throughout the next few days. I'm eager to do side by sides with my 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition and 4Runner TRD Pro. Although they share numerous similarities, I personally wouldn't take the Lexus over the Toyotas. The simplicity of the 4Runner and Land Cruiser is what drives their appeal (in my opinion). With that said, the power delivery of this 4.6L V8 is soooo smooth. It reminds me of the Land Cruiser in this regard.

If you think about it, this GX460 hasn't changed much since 2010... which leads me to believe the next redesign is right around the corner and is bound to be huge. The chances of it sustaining a naturally aspirated V8 is slim to none though... So if you're about that V8 life, you better act now.

The resale value is great on the GX but the 4Runner does better in this regard. I would buy a GX before I spent $5-10K over on a 4Runner TRD Pro. But MSRP for MSRP, I'd lean with Toyota.
