Keith Payne was awarded the Victoria Cross for valour in the Vietnam War.

While wounded himself, he rescued 40 injured soldiers, all while under enemy attack.

Like so many who've seen the atrocities of war, he doesn't like to talk about it, but the 90 year old spoke to the ABC about that fateful night 55 years ago.
