Rise is an upcoming American biographical sports drama film directed by Akin Omotoso and written by Arash Amel. Based on the true story of three young Nigerian-Greek brothers who immigrate to America and rise to prominence and success in the National Basketball Association. Newcomers Uche Agada, Ral Agada, and Jaden Osimuwa play the three main characters, with Elijah Shomanke, Yetide Badaki, and Dayo Okeniyi playing supporting family members.
Rise is a Walt Disney Pictures production that will be released as a Disney+ original film on June 24 2022.

The true story follows three Greek brothers who are raised from obscurity and thrust into the spotlight of professional basketball. Vera and Charles Antetokounmpo relocate to Greece from Nigeria in search of a better life for their family. The couple works hard to provide for their five children, but the reality of deportation due to a difficult citizenship system threatens their children's dreams. The family works together to sell souvenirs to tourists in Athens in order to earn enough money to pay the bills. When the opportunity presents itself, the Antetokounmpo brothers vent their frustrations on public basketball courts. Individually, they quickly realize that, despite their lack of experience, they are naturally gifted ball players. The trio decide to pursue NBA careers with the assistance of a talent agent.
