Lawmakers on Capitol Hill grilled Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for more than five hours Wednesday, raising questions about the company's policy of allowing politicians to lie in political advertisements, as well as its role in election interference. Rep. Joyce Beatty, vice chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, pressed Zuckerberg on Facebook's civil rights record and policies on diversity and inclusion. Beatty called Facebook's lack of attention to diversity and inclusion "appalling and disgusting" in that the company might have known better "if you had real diversity and inclusion on your team."
