Because this tutorial uses the advanced features of Tibco Spotfire "Publisher" version, to follow along you do need to 1) have a subscription to the Publisher version or 2) initiate the free 1 month publisher or Analyst) trial. This is second approach is recommended and is a simple a one click process if you have the free "personal edition" of spotfire (no credit card is required).
