Vertical gardening is using walls, trellises, arches, string, and even existing plants and trees to grow plants up. It's useful because it can help cover walls, create windbreaks, visual interest, and make the most of your gardening space, especially in small gardens.

In this video, I share how to make a DIY trellis using sticks, string, and a handful of other materials. It's mounted right on a wall and perfect for growing sweet peas, garden peas, and other climbing plants. I then share some of the other vertical gardening solutions that I have here in the home garden.
