In 20 years of watching the NBA I’ve never seen 2 teammates fight for a dunk and eventually blow this opportunity.
Last night we saw a bunch of unique situations like this one where three guys are literally scared of Wembanyama on the break and they’re like you take it, no you take it, no give it to him. This is how frightening of a defender Victor is, in his rookie season.
And on the other end, stop me if you’ve seen something like this:
A 7’4’’ giant doing the shamgod but then coming back with the spin all in one fluid motion for the lefty layup. Are you kidding me?
Then during the Bucks vs Celtics matchup, we witnessed the unthinkable. You see this?!
These were the only 2 shots from the foul line for this entire game. I’m talking combined for the 2 teams. This is wild. The average is about 40 per game total.
And yeah, this means that Boston played an entire game running up and down the court, jacking up shots without ever going to the line. Unbelievable. They became the first team in NBA history to achieve this infamous record.
And speaking of infamous, the beginning of the game for Phoenix was exactly that.
The first quarter ended 37-10 and what should have been a spectacular marquee matchup with playoff implications, turned into a debacle.
So now the Suns fell into the play in zone again, and worst of all they have another matchup against the team that absolutely bombarded them. And this one is on the road in LA.
Not only that, but after that they play the Kings who are also fighting for a playoff spot, and the last game of the season is against Minnesota. So things are looking scary for this team.
And on that topic, this was scary for Rui.
A bullet pass flashing before the eyes of Hachimura. What a stunning find by Steph Curry.
Golden State are 8-1 in the last 9 games and with this win they actually prevented the Lakers of climbing up to the 8th spot which would mean that they would get 2 chances to win 1 game in the play in. Lebron, AD and company are still in the mix tho, along with a bunch of teams in this absolutely chaotic western conference.
With 3 games left in the season, we still have no idea who’s going to survive here and what the matchups are going to look like.
This is by far the greatest season in recent memory, and just 2 days ago we got the wildest night of the year. With clutch shots, double overtime games, and 50 point performances. You gotta check it out right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
