2025 Kia Sportage HEV/PHEV - Watch This Before Buying!

Welcome back to AutomagzBro! Today, we're taking a closer look at the highly anticipated Kia Sportage 2025, which brings some significant changes to its engine lineup.

The Kia Sportage has become a popular choice for many car buyers, and for good reason.

It boasts a bold design, impressive technology, spacious interior, and a versatile cargo area.

But perhaps the most appealing aspect was the variety of engine options available, including gasoline, diesel, mild hybrid, conventional hybrid, and even a plug-in hybrid.

This vast selection offered something for everyone, and it certainly helped the Sportage stand out against competitors like the Peugeot 3008, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Toyota Corolla Cross.

However, there's some important news for those considering the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the 2025 Sportage. Kia has made some adjustments to their power output.

Let's start with the hybrid (HEV) variant. Previously, it sported a robust 230 horsepower engine.

But for the 2025 model year, the combined power output has been reduced to 215 horsepower.

This HEV version will come paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The battery capacity remains at 1.49 kWh.

Now, moving on to the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version. This powerhouse previously delivered 265 horsepower, but for 2025, the combined output dips slightly to 252 HP
