Breaking Open Solid Quartz to Find Crystal Deposits

I've been prospecting for a new crystal deposit in the north east of Victoria Australia.
Crystal prospecting has lead me to some amazing and rare discoveries of deposits long forgotten to history. From amethyst mines last operated in the 1980s to Smokey quartz mines first opened in the 1860s our region has so much to discover.
On this prospect I'm looking for quality Smokey quartz points I can use to make jewellery.
