There were 180 half-hour episodes of The Golden Girls, a seven-season American comedy produced by Susan Harris, that aired on NBC from September 14, 1985, through May 9, 1992. The program centers on four elderly women who live together in a Miami, Florida, residence and features an ensemble cast that includes Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. In collaboration with Touchstone Television, Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions produced it. Harris, Tony Thomas, and Paul Junger Witt were the initial executive producers.
