This is one of the greatest and most heartbreaking pieces of cinema I have ever seen. It portrays the story of Anne Frank and her family as the are in hiding in a secret annex above a spice factory during WWII. The Franks are populated by Otto and Edith Frank, Anne's parents and her sister Margot. Also in hiding in the Annex were the van Dams, (Anne's pen name for them), Hermann, Auguste and their son Peter, who were later joined by Fritz Pfieffer (in the film named Mr. Dussel).
Only Otto Frank survived once the Annex was found out.

It is hard to think of anything else to say about Anne Frank and her story, if only because there is so much that cannot be put into words. Let me just say that her and her diary have had a profound impact upon my life like no other book of any kind ever has, and I know her diary has done the smae for countless amounts of people all over the world.

The film version is one of the most heart-wrenching movies you will ever see.
