Russia has claimed that 'Orlan-10' drone operators helped its artillerymen destroy Ukrainian military targets on March 25.

The operators of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) 'Orlan-10' of the 3rd Army Corps of the Southern Military District are conducting round-the-clock reconnaissance of targets and artillery fire adjustment, the Russian Ministry said.

The ministry stated: 'During combat duty, the crews of the multifunctional UAV complexes 'Orlan-10' perform flights to tactical depths for reconnaissance and target search, further adjustment of fire for various types of weapons, and control the fire damage of objects, personnel, and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces [UAF].

'The 'Orlans' and their operators work in shifts. It takes the crew no more than 15 minutes to refuel and prepare the UAV for a new task.

'The complex operators constantly fix and transmit to the control points the positions of the UAF, which adopt the tactics of terrorists in conducting combat operations, placing strong points and firing points in private residential sectors and objects of social infrastructure.

'For target search and recognition, UAVs are equipped with various optical devices and a thermal imager. Assembled in minutes, the 'Orlan' can take off from any location where it is possible to install a catapult.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.

The conflict is still ongoing with public support from Europe and the United States fading and businesses reopening their ties with Russia.

Deserters have fled both countries for safer climbs in Europe and Asia.
