Normally a 15 mile hike up a lazy, wide wash The White Ghost Hoodoos (aka Wahweap Hoodoo) are worth the hike with their impressive and photogenic geological formations. But because they face Eastward the best photographic light is in the morning making the trip difficult for photographers with big gear.

Here I stumble around making a couple of "Google Map trust" failures as part of my exploring but it comes with the territory and I gain some fantastic views from rare angles until I find The Secret Entrance that makes it all worthwhile!

Furthermore, the direct route I find now reduces the hike to just over 1 mile by traversing then descending this sketchy formation in Utah's winter mud.
