I’m Phoebe, I’m a Japan born multi-passionate singer, writer and performer.

I love Japanese culture, Opera, Jazz, discovering the truth, exploring death and how we “do” death, exploring flavours and textures, sensuality, sensual habits and so much more.

In my shows and live performances I love to explore taboo topics and I am currently working on how to combine singing and eating in the one show. Think wine and song matching or chocolate and animal sound matching.

Right now, I'm writing about my year in Japan, my home coming essentially. I haven’t been in Japan for 12 years and really loaded this time in Japan with a lot of emotional expectations. This book is a mix of my journey returning to Japan, the awesome places I have been to, the amazing food I have eaten and advice for visitors and short term residents. I do compare Japan with Australia, because that’s what I know, but I hope it’s useful and entertaining for all sorts of people from all around the world.
