My son and I made some butter tortillas and decided to document it! He loves my tortillas, and some say they are better than my mom’s! Even she said that, but won’t admit it on film. Here’s the recipe-

Butter tortillas

Dry ingredients-
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
Wet ingredients-
1 cup of water
1/2 cup oh unsalted butter

Mix dry ingredients together.
Melt the butter into the water and mix well.
Pour the water/butter mix into the flour while still warm, mix and knead well until it’s formed into a large ball.
Cover (preferably with plastic) for 10-15 minutes
Uncover and tear/roll into equal sized balls (approximately 10)
Place back into bowl and re-cover for another 10-15 minutes
On a lightly floured counter roll out (flipping and turning each time) to a 10-12 inch round
Cook on a medium Comal/skillet until it starts to bubble, flip and cook for another 30 seconds, flip one more time, then remove
Enjoy!
