The Fall Guy Updates a Classic '80s TV Show

Directed by David Leitch, The Fall Guy is an action comedy film loosely based on the 1980s television series of the same name about stunt performers moonlighting as bounty hunters. In the updated reimagining, Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a stuntman working on his ex-girlfriend's (Blunt) directorial debut action film, only to find himself involved in a conspiracy surrounding the film's missing lead actor (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).

The Fall Guy premiered at SXSW 2024, where the movie earned rave reviews from critics in attendance, leading to an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%. While that number has since dropped to 85% certified fresh, it is still an impressive score for a summer blockbuster movie.
