-Owner and maintainer of this crossing: Crab Orchard & Egyptian Railway (COER).
-Line: Marion District.
-At 1:35pm, COER/PGR 33 SW1200 with a P3 horn crosses over the famous 4th Street crossing in Marion, IL!
-Signal on the right: 2 pairs of L&W 12×20 inch lights, a WRRS Autoflag wig wag, an Eagleux double beacon, and a Marbelite double beacon.
-Signal on the left: 2 pairs of L&W 12×20 inch lights and a dying Safetran mechanical bell.

Next after Centralia we ventured down to Marion to check out the infamous COER wig wag. We were only here for both of us to get a crossing tour but while Noah was doing his tour, he pointed out what appeared to be a train approaching from the west, and it actually was! This was an absolute miracle, and we scrambled to set up our tripods. This is a once-in-a-lifetime catch (or at least I won't see this again for years), especially to see them running past here, as this section only has what I believe is a railcar repair shop being served by the COER! The engine pulling this train was PGR 33, an SW1200 being leased to the COER. It has a great P3, and we also got a horn show from it!

This crossing is obviously even better, which has the last active wig wag in freight service in Illinois! All the rest are at museums. This was amazing to see and I'm very happy I did see it. The Safetran bell here is also dying, and appears to have quit by the time the train rolled through. The WCH mechanical bell heard is at nearby 5th Street, not here. The trains here come through very slowly, as the track condition here ain't the best. I also got a secondary shot on my S6 without tripod, which I'll probably upload, but this is easily my better video here. After this, the uncoupled from the train and parked in the shed, and then a massive thunderstorm rolled in. Very lucky on this one. I hope you enjoy!
