1. This was actually found in 2015, but we did not know how until today. Apparently it's been a big somewhat contentious secret because everyone is arguing about who owns it.

2. It's not just gold, there's also emeralds and lots of silver that adds up to the /maybe/ $17B.

3. It might be less than $17B, but it's definitely in the billions, which is nuts no matter what.
