South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who had been considered among a list of possible running mates for former President Donald Trump in his latest White House bid, has been widely criticized after writing in her new book about killing her dog decades ago, a story that went viral.

CBS News Philadelphia anchor Janelle Burrell asked Gov. Noem about the controversial killing of her dog, a family goat and claims of having met North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in her new book "No Going Back."

Noem says the book is filled with vulnerable stories and she hopes her book offers a blueprint for the average citizen and how they can get involved in their local government.
