In 1964, Andy Warhol made a five hour and twenty-one minute film titled SLEEP, which consisted of a series of looped shots of John Giormo, Warhol’s lover at the time, sleeping. The film premiere had nine people in the audience. Two walked out. Seizing on the “success” of SLEEP, Warhol went on the produce EAT, KISS, HAIRCUT and other avant-garde films. His opus was EMPIRE (1965), an eight hour, five minute film of a single view of the Empire State Building.

I’m sure I can easily extend this cloud video, SPRINGTIME CLOUDS, to over eight hours. So, let’s call this a preview of coming attractions.
