Following a string of Confederate disasters in the Mississippi River Valley front of the Western Theater, the Confederate Navy tries to strike back against the Union Navy's Western Flotilla, which is blockading the vital river city of Vicksburg, Mississippi together with Flag Officer David G. Farragut's West Gulf Blockading Squadron. The Confederate ironclad ram CSS Arkansas travels down the Yazoo River to blast its way through the blockade and support the Confederate defenses at Vicksburg. Will the Arkansas be able to wreak enough havoc on the Union fleet to hopefully lift the blockade of the city?
