Pierre is an orphan with Williams syndrome (a deletion on the 7th chromosome). He is being raised by his grandmother, who is doing her best to provide for his needs in her retirement. Pierre started speaking at 7 years old, and has developed his own unique way of communicating as a now 11 year old. Pierre and his grandmother want others to know that it's okay to part with societal norms and connect with Pierre the way he prefers.
