Heike Monogatari follows the historical epic, known by the same name, as we witness the Heike clan in the years leading up to their demise. Guided by a girl named Biwa, we are inserted into the midst of one of Japan's most tumultuous periods, filled with grief, war, happiness, and fear... It is absolutely one of my favorite anime of 2021 already, and it stands out among the rest as one of the most beautiful anime I've seen to this day- despite only being 6 episodes in. Check it out!
