This week we are wiring the reversing loop created by a wye track. Wyes are often used in both model and prototype railroads to turn a locomotive, or even an entire train, around.

All two-track railroads are wired basically the same way whether they are DC, AC, or DCC. DCC does allow for some interesting automation on these tracks, but the electrical shorting problem is the same on all two rail track-powered layouts.

The wye is actually simpler to wire than the balloon track we looked at last week. Take a look!
