Sky News host James Macpherson doesn’t believe Queenslanders can be bought “for a thousand bucks”.

Queensland Premier Steven Miles has made a pre-election promise to slash his constituent’s power bills with a $1000 electricity rebate.

“The bills just keep going up, and Steven Miles, I mean, he’s completely powerless,” Mr Macpherson said.

“He’s only the Premier of Queensland, and his government has only been in power for the last, what? Nine years.

“Take the money and run Queenslanders.

“I don’t think Queenslanders can be bought for a thousand bucks.”
