Sky Rompiendo, Feid, Myke Towers - The Making of “El Cielo” (Vevo Footnotes)

Sky Rompiendo es uno de los productores y letristas de reggaetón más importantes del momento. El colombiano comenzó su carrera en el 2011, y ya cuenta como colaboradores íntimos a J Balvin, Karol G, Feid y Rosalía, entre otros artistas de alto calibre internacional. Ahora, nos toca ver a Sky al mando y rompiendo la pista con “El Cielo”, una canción escrita junto con Ferxxo, donde los puertorriqueños Myke Towers y Mora relatan una noche candente después de la discoteca. “Todo fue saliendo como lo escuchan en una noche de estudio”, dice Sky en una entrevista exclusiva con Footnotes. “[Esa noche] Taiko hizo este sample de la flauta que me parecía muy épico y de ahí me empecé a inspirar [...] Se siente como para discoteca pero también se siente espacial, grande, sin dejar de ser reggaetón”. La creatividad del director Andy Hines llevó al trío hasta los Everglades a rodar en botes de aire y nadar con cocodrilos en la madrugada. ¿Qué más podemos pedir? Sky Rompiendo is one of the most sought after reggaeton producers and songwriters at the moment. The Colombia native began his career in 2011 and counts high caliber international stars like J Balvin, Karol G, Feid, and Rosalía as intimate collaborators. Now it’s time to see Sky taking the lead and tearing up the charts with “El Cielo." Written alongside Ferxxo, the song features Puerto Rican stars Myke Towers and Mora rapping about a steamy night after the club. “Everything started to come together, as you hear it, one night in the studio,” Sky said in an exclusive interview with Footnotes. “That night, Taiko made this flute sample that sounded epic and I started getting inspired [...] It feels like a club track, but it’s also spacey, big, without leaving the reggaeton realm.” Director Andy Hines’ creativity took the trio to the Everglades to film on airboats and swim with crocodiles in the early morning dew. What else could we ask for?
