The Psalms of David published in The Ancient Faith Psalter is a volume for the purpose devotional prayer. This is not a study version. There are no footnotes and the verses of each chapter are not indicated.

The daily readings are divided up into 20 sections (called Kathisma). Each Kathisma is further divided into 3 smaller sections called Stasis.

The Psalter is intended to be read in its entirety each week, 3 Kathisma each day of the week but only 2 on Sunday for a total of 20 every week. The daily reading of each Kathisma and Stasis is arranged according to the Matins and Vespers worship services of each day.

The Psalms of David is an ancient book respected by Jews, Christians, and Muslims. The Orthodox Church has used the Psalms of King David as a prayer book for over 2000 years. Orthodox Christian worship is filled with quoted from the Psalms in the Sunday Divine Liturgy and well as the Vespers and Matins worship services and probably every other worship service of the church.

Messianic Psalms. Christians understand the Psalms of David in light of the fulfillment that Jesus is the Messiah, or Christ, as foretold in the ancient text.

This printed version of the Psalter is useful as a prayer book for Orthodox Christian in private worship.
