Back in 1995 Sega announced Project Neptune which was slated to be released that same year. Neptune was a new console that combined a Genesis and 32X into a single sleek package. But due to the impending release of the company’s next generation console, the Saturn, Sega decided to cancel Neptune. So 27 years later, due to a lot of hard work from the retro modding community, we now have a way to make our very own Sega Neptune!

Hey everyone! One thing I failed to mention in the video was that the “modular” Neptune build that I did was largely developed by PCBAssembly99. He pioneered the use of a 3BP in conjunction with the Neptune mod and also the unique method of flipping over the 32X board while using the longer ribbon cables so that it can be used with the 90 degree cartridge connector. He also made a bill of material that you can reference which has all the items I used in my tutorial for the Neptune build, which is linked here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/tupgzr...
