Hail's low casualty rate gets it a reputation for being pretty mild, but considering that it does WAY more property damage than tornadoes annually, I'd argue it's actually the bigger threat.
Very few people die from hail, and as a result, people treat it casually -- with some even going so far as to run around in hail storms. But, is that really safe? At what point does hail go from "weather anomaly" to "cold-cored killer"? What size hail WILL kill you instantly? I'm gonna find out.
