Trump's first impeachment - 2020
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an Army officer who works for the National Security Council, refused to provide details when asked from Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, about who Vindman spoke to about the July 25 call between President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s president. During an impeachment hearing where Vindman was testifying, Rep. Adam Schiff, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, advised Vindman that he was not required to answer a question that he believed could identify the whistleblower, whose complaint sparked the impeachment inquiry into Trump. Vindman said he spoke to a member of the intelligence committee who had proper security clearance and had a “need to know” about the call.
