Earth is attacked by an alien race, known as the Cthulhu. In order to battle the invasion, Iczer-1 searches for her "synchronization partner," a human whose sense of loss is strong enough that it will allow her to co-pilot Iczer-1's mecha, the Iczer-Robo.
