The racism charges, brought against Michael Vaughan in June last year, stemmed primarily from allegations made by Azeem Rafiq Rafiq, the former Yorkshire bowler.

Speaking to Sky News, he said "hopefully, the structures of the game can now be rebuilt and institutionalised racism ended for good" before asking "are we going to make cricket better?"
