This documentary on Earth, Wind & Fire bandleader Maurice is superb. I am not a history major to dig this deep in music history. Thank you LeoTheLioness Queen for your research on one of the best bandleaders of all time. After EWF Spirit album, especially the album "All n All" Maurice White took music to a different level to the degree where he would not let his creativity be limited to R&B music.

Some of the songs on the Spirit LP could be considered contemporary R&B gospel as far as I'm concerned: Burning Bush, Imagination, Spirit, GetaWay, and On Your Face, uplifting inspiring songs for sure. Several R&B groups attempted to duplicate, sound like, copy different grooves, but once All n All came out, other acts did not at all attempt to sound like the elements EWF.

The vocals between Phillip Bailey and Maurice is and was a perfect match with recording vocals. If you have not heard any EWF music take a listen to their catalog. They are one of the best in music history.
